Objective: The overall goal of the project continues to be to create in rural areas in the Caldas Region an environment that is appropriate for children and enables them to develop their abilities and potentials, and to mediate a situation of risks and vulnerability.
In phase II, educational activities for children, workshops and training programmes for volunteers, mothers and staff of other organisations will be refined and applied to interventions in other communities. A new batch of Social Agents will be trained, in close collaboration with the universities of Manizales. Strengthening of alliances through networking with both public and private sector agencies will be vital to achieve sustainability at community level. On the basis of consultation and involvement of the various actors in the project, specific community development plans for each community will be formulated and implemented. The experiences and outcomes will be documented and used for a broad dissemination campaign.

Objective: To strengthen the institutional capacitiy of FESCO to undertake programme research and to produce qualified information and knowledge for sharing and dissemination through a variety of communication channels.
This project will strengthen the institutional capacities of FESCO to undertake research in the field of educational programmes directed to children, youth and the families and turn this into qualified information and knowledge that can be disseminated and shared with other parties through a variety of channels (organisation of workshops; publications; the website; etc.). Furthermore, it will enable Fesco develop into an intermediary agency that can train other agencies and offer its capacities by accepting consultancy work and projects funded by other agencies, such as the World Bank.
Los Niños y las Niñas Protagonistas de su Desarrollo

Objective: To create and/or consolidate spaces in institutions at various levels (the home environment, the family and community, the municipalities and departments, and the national level) that comply with the rights of children and lead to the formulation and implementation of social plans that take into account children's needs and interests.
Conformación Alianza Colombiana en Niñez
