Objective: To design a new proposal aiming at the construction of sustainable programme for children and adolescents that improve the living conditions of the poor young children of Parnaiba, in the Brazilian Northeast, while sustaining the current levels of action.
Parnaiba, a remote city in Northeast Brazil, suffers from growing violence and poverty which affects a large part of its population, the majority of which is below the age of 24. During this planning period, the project aims to bring together the private sector and the community to look for solutions towards the needs of these vulnerable young children and adolescents. This will be undertaken in consultation with local partners and target community, including the children and parents. The project will also develop a proposal for a new phase, consolidating experiences along the lines of BvLF's strategy for Latin America.
