Objective: To take into account the perspectives and the learning needs of young children aged 4 to 7 in the new exhibition of the Museon.
At the end of its three-year period the project will have
- developed at least two pilot areas within the permanent exhibition which integrate fully the learning needs of young children;
- added to the themes of the exhibition an interactive component suitable for children aged 4 to 7;
- set up a special family exhibition space;
- developed new techniques to support dialogue and interaction between children and children and adults;
- established a ‘children and parents’ panel as a permanent advisory board;
- enhanced the Museon’s expertise by taking young children’s perspectives into account as also knowledge on how young children’s learning is influenced positively in a museum environment;
- shared the research outcomes with children, teachers, parents and other family members, as well as with various audiences nationally and internationally.
