Exploring Support for ECD

Region: Bubi District, Zimbabwe

Objective: To determine the factors that affect and explore effective models for early childhood development support in Bubi District.

The project will focus on establishing the situation of young children and the interventions, services and support that is available to them. Activities for the proposed study will therefore include:

• sensitisation of district leaders and communities;
  
• exchange visits by selected community members and project staff to organisations already implementing ECD interventions;
  
• monitoring and evaluation of the process of gathering of information on what exists in relation to ECD;
  
• documenting and report writing on the activities and results of the study;
  
• dissemination of the findings and recommendations at community, leader and district government level;
  
• and finally the development of a proposal for an intervention to be submitted to BvLF.
