Child Parenting Child

Region: Rakai district, Uganda

Objective: To set up and instil community-based support and parenting initiatives for children below nine years who live in child headed households in Rakai district.

This project is aimed at addressing the plight of young children in child headed households, suffering from direct effects of the AIDS pandemic. The project will initiate ECD care for these children by setting-up community-based mechanisms providing counselling, stimulation and improved health and nutrition.

Early childhood information hub
In collaboration with the international information support centre Source, the foundation presents a knowledge and information hub on early childhood issues including young children and HIV/AIDS.
