Read more about General Comment 7 of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child, an important document for understanding our work as it sets out how child rights should be interpreted when it comes to very young children.

Why are a child's early years so important?

The four "cornerstone" messages of the Consultative Group on Early Childhood Care and Development are a good place to start. There are also useful portals to knowledge on the importance of the early years provided by UNICEF and the World Bank.
