Many thanks to readers who participated in our publications survey
Many thanks to all readers of Bernard van Leer publications who took part in our recent survey. We received responses from readers in 34 countries, ranging from NGO and government employees to academic researchers and individual practitioners. The results were extremely useful in informing us about how we can ensure that our free publications continue to meet the needs of the early childhood community.
Many respondents told us how much they appreciate receiving printed copies of our flagship journal, Early Childhood Matters, and our series of research briefs for advocates, Early Childhood in Focus. This helps them to share these publications with colleagues. Many also told us we could find more effective ways to facilitate online sharing of individual ECM articles. We're looking into options.
Similarly, many respondents told us we could do more to improve the design, content and dissemination of our other titles: Working Papers, Online Outreach Papers, and Practice & Reflections. Many people didn't know that some or all of these publication series exist. We are working on better ways to present and publicise these series.
If you took up our offer of free posters as a thank-you for participating in the survey, these have now been sent. The winner of our raffle, Ms Helen Cooney, from Australia, has very kindly chosen the Caroline Chisholm Society to receive our EUR 1500 donation.
With our commitment to keeping our publications free of charge, we don't have sales figures to tell us what you - our readers - find most valuable. We therefore rely on your feedback to keep us on the right track. We always welcome your views on our publications, which can be emailed to pubsrequests@bvleerf.nl.
