Global expert meetings on violence and physical environments
On March 9th and 10th, the Bernard van Leer Foundation held two global expert meetings in which researchers, advocates and practitioners from around the world joined us at our office in the Hague to discuss two of our new goals: reducing violence in young children’s lives and improving the physical environments where young children grow up.
It was a wonderful learning experience for our institution and staff and we are confident that these meetings will prove an invaluable resource in defining our strategy going forward.
In this video, Gary Barker from the International Centre for Research on Women explains some of the results of the UN study on violence against children.
We will be publishing more information gathered from these meetings over the next few weeks.
