Foundation offers three research internships
The Bernard van Leer Foundation is offering three research internships to masters students and young professionals. The internships will start on 1st September for four months at a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Interns will carry out research projects relating to the foundation's three goals:
- reducing violence in young children’s lives
- bringing quality programmes for early learning to scale
- improving the physical environments where young children grow up
The internships are an opportunity to put knowledge and experience into practice, while performing certain tasks under the supervision of the foundation.
The research projects will inform the eight country strategies the foundation is in the process of writing (for India, Netherlands, Turkey, Uganda, Tanzania, Brazil, Peru and Israel), as well as designing a strategy for global advocacy and research.
Interns will receive travel costs and a small financial compensation. Interns will themselves be responsible for meeting valid medical/accident insurance coverage. Candidates residing in the Netherlands and in possession of a valid stay and work permit as required by the law are encouraged to apply.
Upon completion of the internship, a certificate will be issued summarising the tasks performed and providing an evaluation of the work done.
