Calling all Dutch corporations: An incentive to invest in young children

Young children are everyone’s business – and that includes businesses. The Bernard van Leer Foundation is reaching out to Dutch corporations with a €100,000 incentive to join us in investing in young children.

Announced to mark our recent 60th anniversary, and honouring our own roots in the Dutch corporate sector, the Dutch Corporate Engagement Fund will match up to €100,000 of investment by Dutch corporations in programmes to benefit disadvanted children aged 0-8.

Dutch corporations interested in finding out more are invited to contact our executive director, Lisa Jordan (lisa.jordan@bvleerf.nl). Only inquiries from private sector entities will receive a response.

The programmes can be new or already existing, and can be implemented in The Netherlands or in any of 20 other countries where the Bernard van Leer Foundation has recent experience of working.[1] We would be happy to discuss ideas for new corporate-led programmes, or alternatively to advise corporations on suitable opportunities to support our existing partners.

The Bernard van Leer Foundation works with partners to increase the quality and quantity of investments in young children. Current partnerships include private sector entities whom through employee programs work directly with young children, non-governmental organizations whom provide services to young children, academicians whom design better child care programs; and government ministries whom are responsible for youth, education and family issues. These partnerships help us reach 1.1 million children.
