First meeting Transatlantic Forum on Inclusive Early Years in Ghent
The first meeting of the Transatlantic Forum on Inclusive Early Years will take place from 21-23 January 2013 in Ghent, Belgium. This invite only event is about Quality Early Childhood Services for All: Addressing Disparities in Access for Children from Migrant and Low-Income Families.
The Transatlantic Forum on Inclusive Early Years is an initiative of the King Baudouin Foundation together with nine different partner foundations from both Europe and the United States - amongst them the Bernard van Leer Foundation, de LEGO Foundation and the Migration Policy Institute - bringing together leading scientists, practitioners, civil society members, business leaders and political decision-makers.
This first meeting in Ghent will be officially opened by HRH Princess Mathilde. In total the Forum will meet six times over a period of three years in Europe and in the United States, each time focusing on a specific topic and in a different country to facilitate onsite visits.
